Clearskyhotels believe that the scientific evidence for manmade climate change is irrefutable the enormity of the situation has been pivotal in decisions we have taken as an organisation. We have taken steps to reduce the carbon footprint of the business and committed ourselves to engaging with the hospitality industry to raise the issues of climate change and work with them to promote the positive steps they take to reduce the environmental damage of running their business.

We aim to meet the expectations of our customers by providing a wide choice of hotels that offer excellent room rates well at the same time running green initiatives which help to reduce the burden on the environment resulting from the hospitality industry.

The 10:10 campaign is an initiative to encourage individuals and business to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% by 2010 listed below are the steps taken by clearskyhotels to achieve and exceed these targets.

Clearskyhotels have implemented working from home for all employees reducing the impact on the environment from transport and running an office.

Reducing printing and when necessary using recycled paper.

Moving to digital documents for invoices and payslips.

Using conferencing software to reduce meetings requiring transport.

Providing FREE marketing to any hotel/guesthouse with an effective green policy in place.

Offsetting the equivalent of a 200 mile car journey for each reservation made on Clearskyhotels.

Providing a forum for advice and debate on climate change.
