Recycle clothing to charity. We all have clothes we no longer want. Clothes that are out of fashion or no longer fit can take up space in the wardrobe and serve no useful purpose. It is estimated that there is around 1.1 Billion tonnes of unused clothes stuck in wardrobes up and down homes in the UK, in addition to this over 900,000 tonnes of old clothes end up in landfill every year.
By donating unwanted clothes to charity we help a worthwhile cause, provide a cheap source of clothing and lastly help to prevent climate change, new clothes demand natural resources and energy to be produced, recycled clothing has already been through the production process and therefore requires no new materials or energy.
