No smoking and guests encouraged to arrive by bus or train to keep roads clear and cut down on pollution. All food is cooked on request to avoid wastage. Our toilet rolls and napkins etc. are made from recycled paper to save the trees in the world's forests. In addition A4 printer paper is not recycled until both sides have been used also contributing to saving trees.
All bottles cans etc. are disposed of in the Cumbria Council recycling bins specially provided for the purpose located in the car park at the adjacent Booths Supermarket. We run sightseeing tours in minibuses which the Council approve of because they can carry up to 16 passengers thereby keeping the roads and car parks clear and reducing car exhaust emissions by simply using one vehicle instead of six or eight.
